Can you feel us moving into the late summer season?  The temperatures are dropping, kids are headed back to school and the late summer harvests are in full swing.  This season is great for focusing on the spleen and stomach.  What better way to focus on that than to feed our bodies with nourishing foods?  I’ve been focusing a lot of my energy on producing easy recipes for you to replicate that will nourish a healthy digestive system.  Have you noticed? Homemade Pesto

Ingredients:

3 cups basil

1/2 cup parsley, arugula, kale or garlic scapes

1 – 4 gloves of garlic

1/4 – 1/2 cup pine nuts or walnuts

3/4 cup Olive Oil

Salt to taste


Instructions:
Add all ingredients into a blender, blend and enjoy!
